Suncast prepares pilots for Spanish companies: Chilean technology arrives in new international markets

With the support of ProChile and Corfo, Suncast has been selected to participate in GoGlobal 2024, a program which provided the company with the necessary tools to explore international markets.

Santiago, Chile, 18th of November of 2024.- Suncast, the innovative Chilean company dedicated to optimizing the operation of renewable energies, continues its internationalization process with its successful participation at the 2024 edition of the GoGlobal program, organized by ProChile and Corfo.

The Chilean company is already planning to launch its first technological pilot in Europe, specifically in Spain, where the demand for advanced solutions for energy management is constantly growing.

“Suncast’s possibilities are significant. Having a competitive product with differentiation and that the market values for its impact on its OPEX, all that remains is to understand how it will play, both territorially and strategically, and finally, under what administrative structure of association with local partners will it make sense to enter”, this is how Gabriel Guggisberg, Director of ProChile’s office in Madrid, described the Chilean company’s insertion opportunity after their most recent participation at the GoGlobal program.
According to the expert’s opinion, Suncast is: “The right timing and once local companies can incorporate the value that is being added, it is a matter of time to see positive results. GoGlobal taught us the need to invest in being present to achieve high-impact results,” said Guggisberg.

In this opportunity, Pedro Correa, Suncast’s CTO, was in charge of attending and leading the company’s commercial mission in Spain, for the assistance and acceleration of the internationalization process of innovative Chilean companies in Latin American and European markets project.

“During the immersion week in Madrid, I was able to meet with over 15 institutions, including potential clients and potential collaborators such as the Research Center for Energy Resources and Consumption (CIRCE), the National Renewable Energy Centre (CENER) and the Madrid Institute for Advanced Study (IMDEA Energy), achieving important advances for Suncast in the Spanish market,” said the executive.

“We are launching a Suncast Energy Forecasting pilot serving with a leading company in the Spanish company, which will allow us to confirm the need for this service”, summarized the technology expert after the successful results of his participation at the 2024 edition of the GoGlobal program.

This program represents a second-step approach and mapping to the Spanish electricity market after the first mission of its CEO and founder, Constanza Levicán, at the Latam Scale-Up in Spain, organized by ICEX, IDB Lab and Endeavor last October.

The GoGlobal program consisted of two stages, the first one was online from September 29 to October 10, providing training and mentoring with local experts, which accelerated their international scaling strategy.

The second stage took place directly in Madrid, from November 4 to 8, which allowed companies to have direct contact with potential clients, and collaborators and evaluate real necessities to offer their services.
